Spelling Power is a series of eight books written with an aim to improve the spellings of school students.

BOOK 1 introduces vowels and monosyllabic words. It also comprises lessons on numbers, birds and animals, plural nouns, little ones of birds and animals, different types of fruit and the present participle or the –ing form of verbs.

BOOK 2 introduces words with ch– in the beginning and –ch at the end of the words and adjectives with the suffix –ful. Word formation with two consonants in the beginning of a word and irregular verbs also form part of BOOK 2.

BOOK 3 has words with the same endings, past forms of regular verbs, silent letters, days of the week, homes of animals, vegetables, objects in the classroom and so on.

In BOOK 4 has phonetic symbols and the distinction between monosyllabic and disyllabic words. Further bunch of consonants in a word, silent letters, compound words and some suffixes are included.

In BOOK 5, compound nouns, complex words, words with single and double consonant endings, word collocations, some prepositions, sports and some suffixes are included.

BOOK 6 includes prefixes, parts of speech, units of measurement, parts of mobile phone, root and affixes, collocations, higher numbers, road signals and doubling of consonant letters.

BOOK 7 includes headwords, categorizing words and parts of speech, office vocabulary, silent letters and –tch and –ch endings, use of verb with –ify, phrasal verbs, and the sound u/Ju and u:, commonly misspelt worlds, phonetic sounds and symbols, cluster of consonants, the –igh/–ough meanings, the –tion, –cian, –tian factors and the –cian, and –tian factor.

BOOK 8 includes compound words, identifying the logos, the –dge and –tch dilemma, syllabization, adjectives with propositions, –to/–ing form, the family of words, different professions, emotions, the –al, –el and –le key, multisensing words, listening practice, formal/informal conversation spelling errors and dictation, etc.
